Why a Portable Seat Belongs in a Plumber's Van
Vanity fit-offs, under-sink jobs and tapware all happen low down. A buyer sent in a photo of Restup on a bathroom fit-off, and it shows exactly why.

A lot of plumbing happens at knee height or lower. Vanity basins, waste pipes under the sink, toilet connections, shower mixers and tapware. That usually means kneeling on hard tiles, crouching, or sitting on an upturned bucket.
One Restup buyer sent in the photo above from a bathroom fit-off: a new vanity half-installed, tools on the bench, a bucket of fittings on the floor, and a Restup set up in the middle of it all. It's a good picture of where a small, fast seat fits into the job.
Saving your knees on low work
Restup sits at 46 cm high, about the height of a vanity cabinet or a toilet pan. That puts you at a comfortable level for working under a basin, connecting a waste, or fitting tapware low on the wall, without kneeling on tiles for the whole job.
The seat swivels 360°, so you can turn to reach a tool or fitting on the floor beside you without getting up and repositioning.
Small enough for tight bathrooms
Bathrooms and laundries are tight, and a bucket or milk crate takes up floor space you need. Restup's footprint is 48 × 48 cm when open, and it folds down to about the size of a large water bottle when you need the floor back. It weighs 1.4 kg and goes in its carry bag behind the seat of the van or in a tool bag.
Easy to keep clean
Plumbing jobs mean water, grout dust and the odd mess. The frame wipes down with a damp cloth, and the seat fabric spot-cleans with warm soapy water. Let it dry before folding it away, and keep it out of standing water.
What it isn't
Restup is a seat, not a step or a work platform. Don't stand on it to reach a shower rose or a high tap. It holds up to 150 kg and has no backrest, so it's built for sitting while you work and taking a quick break, not for leaning back.
It's also not a substitute for knee pads on jobs where you need to lie down or get right into a cabinet. For everything at sitting height, though, it's a lot easier on your body than a bucket.
The short version
If your day involves a lot of low work in tight bathrooms and laundries, a light seat that sets up in seconds and wipes clean is worth the small spot it takes in the van.
